The A75, a flagship product from Accuphase’s peak period, received widespread acclaim and praise after its release, becoming one of Accuphase’s most representative works. The original unit, tuned with pure Class A transistors and MOSFETs, broke audiophiles’ prejudices against Japanese sound. Its timbre is rich and full, with exquisite and precise mid-high frequency details, accurate imaging, and a stable, powerful bass with smooth and natural transitions. Its powerful output is sufficient to handle any speaker known for being difficult to drive; even ordinary speakers can be driven with the feel of floorstanding speakers. Through this machine, I also understood why so many audiophiles insist on high-powered amplifiers.

After completing the 1:1 direct-carved unit, we also considered that the direct-carved version might not satisfy most users due to cost issues. After careful analysis, we believed that most Hi-Fi speakers rarely use output tubes below 4 ohms, and using ten pairs of output tubes per channel was indeed wasteful. After multiple tests, we felt that using four pairs of output tubes per channel already provided considerable power and bass control. Moreover, there was virtually no difference in sound quality between the 1:1 direct-carved unit and the 4-ohm and 8-ohm loads. This approach, while retaining the original circuit structure, significantly reduces costs by simply decreasing the number of output transistors. The power transformer uses an 800W toroidal transformer, and the circuit operating voltage is the same as the original unit. Each channel uses four pairs of original Toshiba power transistors (2SA1941/2SC5198). The current 67000UFX2 filter capacitors only have a soft-start power supply and signal input board at the bottom. The overall structure and function are identical to the direct-print machine.
